華東政法大學(xué)自1981年起創(chuàng)辦研究生教育。2001年3月設(shè)立研究生教育院。研究生教育院是學(xué)校行使研究生教育管理和服務(wù)工作的職能部門(mén)，其職責(zé)范圍包括對(duì)全校研究生在招生、培養(yǎng)、學(xué)籍管理、學(xué)位授予、思想政治教育、黨建、就業(yè)等方面的政策和業(yè)務(wù)指導(dǎo)，研究生教育院同時(shí)承擔(dān)博士研究生、法律碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位研究生的日常教育、培養(yǎng)與管理工作�，F(xiàn)任副院長(zhǎng)(主持工作)洪冬英教授，黨委書(shū)記邵軍副教授。
學(xué)校擁有法學(xué)、公共管理一級(jí)學(xué)科博士學(xué)位授予權(quán)及應(yīng)用經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、政治學(xué)、馬克思主義理論、公共管理一級(jí)學(xué)科碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)。法學(xué)學(xué)科設(shè)有法學(xué)理論、法律史、憲法學(xué)與行政法學(xué)、刑法學(xué)、民商法學(xué)、訴訟法學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)法學(xué)、國(guó)際法學(xué)、知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)、司法鑒定、社會(huì)法學(xué)、法政治學(xué)、公安法學(xué)、法律方法論、軍事法學(xué)(碩士)、法律與金融(碩士)等16個(gè)學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，應(yīng)用經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)設(shè)有產(chǎn)業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、金融學(xué)、國(guó)際貿(mào)易學(xué)、區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)等學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，政治學(xué)設(shè)有政治學(xué)理論、中外政治制度等學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，馬克思主義理論設(shè)有馬克思主義基本原理、思想政治教育、社會(huì)主義法制教育與傳播研究等學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，公共管理設(shè)有行政管理、社會(huì)保障、文化產(chǎn)業(yè)管理、公共安全管理、社會(huì)管理、教育經(jīng)濟(jì)與管理等學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)。同時(shí)設(shè)有法律(非法學(xué))、法律(法學(xué))、公共管理、金融、社會(huì)工作、翻譯等6個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)。
作為我國(guó)以法學(xué)高等教育為中心，法、管、經(jīng)、文等學(xué)科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的多科性特色大學(xué)，學(xué)校堅(jiān)持以法學(xué)學(xué)科研究生教育為重點(diǎn)，積極拓展管理學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)等學(xué)科的研究生教育。契合社會(huì)需求與國(guó)家教育政策的重大調(diào)整，積極開(kāi)展科學(xué)學(xué)位與專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位教育并重的研究生教育格局。學(xué)校擁有良好的研究生導(dǎo)師隊(duì)伍與完善的'研究生培養(yǎng)機(jī)制。創(chuàng)辦研究生教育30多年來(lái)，學(xué)校共為社會(huì)培養(yǎng)了萬(wàn)余名碩士研究生和500余名博士研究生。學(xué)校目前有專(zhuān)、兼職碩士研究生指導(dǎo)教師超過(guò)530名，其中專(zhuān)兼職博士研究生指導(dǎo)教師91名。在校博士研究生230余人、全日制在校碩士研究生超過(guò)3200人，在職攻讀碩士學(xué)位研究生800余人，外國(guó)留學(xué)生、港澳臺(tái)學(xué)生及中外合作辦學(xué)研究生200余人，總計(jì)在校研究生規(guī)模約4500人。
近年來(lái)，在我國(guó)人才強(qiáng)國(guó)、依法治國(guó)戰(zhàn)略大格局中，在建設(shè)自主創(chuàng)新型國(guó)家的背景下，學(xué)校積極探索多種類(lèi)型的研究生培養(yǎng)模式，充分發(fā)揮高層次法律人才培養(yǎng)的優(yōu)勢(shì)，注重推進(jìn)應(yīng)用型素質(zhì)培養(yǎng)的海派法學(xué)教育，探索和實(shí)踐適合政法大學(xué)發(fā)展的學(xué)科結(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)置，依托內(nèi)涵建設(shè)工程、研究生教育創(chuàng)新計(jì)劃與質(zhì)量工程等，全面促進(jìn)研究生教育創(chuàng)新，努力提高研究生培養(yǎng)質(zhì)量。同時(shí)，學(xué)校積極開(kāi)拓中外合作培養(yǎng)途徑，積極探索和實(shí)踐研究生教育國(guó)際化，實(shí)行靈活多元的校內(nèi)外、國(guó)內(nèi)外合作培養(yǎng)方式。目前，已與新加坡國(guó)立大學(xué)和美國(guó)威斯康星大學(xué)麥迪遜分校合作開(kāi)展碩士學(xué)位研究生培養(yǎng)項(xiàng)目。

About Graduate School of East China University of Political Science and Law
The graduate education in East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) first originated in 1981, and the Graduate School of ECUPL was established based on the Graduate Department of ECUPL in March, 2001. The Graduate School functions as an administrative and service department toward the graduates, duties of which include: enrollment of doctors and masters, training, student management, degree conferment, ideological and political education, Party development work, career guidance services and daily management. At present, Professor Hong Dong ying is the executive vice dean of the Graduate School, and Associate Professor Shao Jun is the general secretary of its Party Committee.
ECUPL is authorized to confer doctor's degree in jurisprudence discipline, public management and master’s degree in Applied Economics, Political Science, Marxist Theory, Public Management. Specifically, ECUPL is authorized to confer the following degrees: 16 degrees in subject of jurisprudence discipline which includes Legal Theory, Legal History, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Procedural Law, Economic Law, International Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Judicial Identification, Social Law, Political Science of Law, Public Security Law, Law Methodology (Master), Military Law, Law and Finance (Master). Degrees in Applied Economics cover Industry Economics, Finance, International Trade and Regional Economics, etc. Degrees in Political Science include Political Science Theory and the Chinese and Foreign Political System. Degrees in Marxist Theory include Basic Principle of Marxist Theory, Studies on Chinese Marxism, Ideological and Political Education, etc. Degrees in Public Management include Administrative Management, Social Security, Cultural Industry Management, Public Safety Management, Social Management, Educational Economics and Management. Meanwhile, ECUPL is also authorized to confer 6 professional degrees: Law (first degree as non-legal major), Law (first degree as legal major), Public Administration, Finance, Social Work and Translation.
As a multi-disciplinary university with its focus on the higher education of law along with the coordinated development of management, economics and art, ECUPL keeps focusing on the jurisprudence discipline of graduate student and actively expands the education of management science, economics and other disciplines. To satisfy the social needs and major adjustment in national educational policy, it develops its graduate education by laying equal emphasis on both academic degrees and professional degrees. ECUPL boasts an excellent team of instructors and an outstanding training system for the graduates. Over 30 years after graduate education was founded, ECUPL has trained more than 10,000 graduates and 500 doctoral students. So far, there are more than 530 full-time and part-time tutors, among which 91 are doctoral supervisors. There are nearly 230 PhD students, more than 3,200 full-time master students, nearly 800 on-job master students, nearly 200 students from foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, as well as the international joint educational programs. The total student enrollment size is around 4,500.
In recent years, China has been implementing the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development, ruling the country by law and building of an innovation-oriented country. In line with the national strategies, ECUPL has been devoted to multi-type cultivation of graduates, sufficiently displaying its advantage in the cultivation of law school graduates and emphasizing on promoting the cultivation of application-oriented law students and exploring the discipline structure settings. Based on the connotation construction, graduate student education innovation plan and quality engineering, the school attempts to promote the innovation of graduate education comprehensively so as to enhance its quality of legal teaching. The graduate school has also established very good relationship with overseas universities by actively exploring and practicing the internationalization of graduate study and realizing the flexible and multiple cultivation modes both domestically and internationally. So far, the school has cooperated with the National University of Singapore and University of Wisconsin-Madison, offering joint programs in LL.M.
In the future graduate education, ECUPL will continue to adhere to the strategic positioning of graduate student education, accelerate the reform of graduate student training mechanism, explore the cultivation of graduate student internationality and further promote the innovation in graduate education. The school will keep on cultivating its students to “inherit the history, grasp the present and look towards the future”, to bear in mind the idea of “succession, reform, cooperation and innovation”, to stick to the motto “Behave Sincerely and Learn Thirstily, Revere Virtues and Respect Laws” and foster the excellent talents who possess “overall consciousness, future awareness, self-expectation, responsibility, patriotism, knowledge and wisdom” so as to realize a sustainable development of graduate education with its focus on the higher education of law along with the coordinated development of management, economics and other disciplines, as well as academic and professional degrees
