　　英美法系VS大陸法系

　　根據(jù)世界各國法律基本特征, 世界上現(xiàn)存有三大法系: 大陸法系、英美法系與伊斯蘭法系, 其中大陸法系和英美法系是世界上應用范圍最廣。英美法系, 又稱普通法法系, 是以英國的普通法為基礎(chǔ), 現(xiàn)在在英國、美國、以及曾是英國殖民地、附屬國的國家和地區(qū)，如印度、巴基斯坦、新加坡、加拿大、澳大利亞、新西蘭、馬來西亞、中國香港地區(qū)都有應用。大陸法系, 又稱為民法法系, 起源可以追溯到古羅馬，后擴大到整個歐洲大陸, 法國、德國、意大利、日本、中國(除中國香港)等均采用大陸法系。

　　英國大學的法律專業(yè)細分及職業(yè)走向

　　英國法律相關(guān)專業(yè)的碩士分LLM(法學碩士)與MSc/MA(理學碩士/文學碩士)兩種, 申請LLM學位的專業(yè)大多需要申請人有相關(guān)的法律背景或者具備法律相關(guān)工作經(jīng)驗的申請者。非法律背景的申請人建議申請MSc/MA學位的法律相關(guān)專業(yè), 這類專業(yè)一般都是法律與商科、社會學相結(jié)合的學科, 只要學生表達出對法律專業(yè)的濃厚興趣以及學習動機，通常不要求學生有相關(guān)的專業(yè)背景。

　　雖然法系不同, 但鑒于英國法律專業(yè)教育的完善與頗高的含金量，仍然有眾多的學生選擇申請英國的法律專業(yè), 特別是民法商法方向, 如國際商法、國際貿(mào)易法、知識產(chǎn)權(quán)法、普通法、國際法、海事法等。該方向的畢業(yè)生未來可以廣泛就職于各大金融機構(gòu), 如銀行、證券公司、保險公司以及各大跨國公司擔任法律咨詢顧問的工作, 也可以就職于律師事務所或者考取相關(guān)公務員職位。
