An Integrative Analysis On Listening Test
Abstract
Testing is an important part of every teaching and learning experience. It can be divided into language sub-skills testing and communication skills testing. The former is composed of vocabulary tests, grammar tests and pronunciation tests. The latter includes listening tests, speaking tests, reading tests and writing tests. This paper is mainly concerned with listening tests, which are the most important of all communication skills tests.
This thesis begins with a brief introduction to the social background and the overall purpose for writing this paper. Then it provides an overview of the history and current status of language testing and outlines to the possible factors that affect the listening test. And then it looks into the way to improve the students’ listening ability and make the test more valid and reliable. Referred to the case study，it is the most significant part of the paper, which is concerned with how to find the poor items of a listening test through item analysis so as to improve the quality of the test and in the mean time to enhance the testing reliability and validity. Last it arrives at the conclusion on listening tests.

摘 要
語言測試是語言教學(xué)和語言學(xué)習(xí)的重要組成部分.語言測試可分為語言微技能測試和交際能力測試。語言微技能測試包括詞匯測試，語法測試和語言測試。交際能力測試包括聽力測試，口語測試，閱讀測試和寫作測試。本文主要探討最重要的交際能力測試，聽力測試。
本文首先簡要介紹了英語聽力測試的現(xiàn)狀，并且指出了影響聽力測試的諸多因素。緊接著討論了怎樣提高學(xué)生的英語聽力能力以及怎樣來使測試更具信度和效度。實(shí)例分析為本文的核心部分。通過對(duì)實(shí)例進(jìn)行研究，作者試圖采用題項(xiàng)分析的方法對(duì)聽力測試的結(jié)果進(jìn)行詮釋，以便找出質(zhì)量差的題項(xiàng)進(jìn)行改進(jìn)，從而提高試題的質(zhì)量，保證測試的信度和效度。最后，作者對(duì)聽力測試進(jìn)行了概括總結(jié)。
